Two Year Old Curriculum:
As two year olds enter Trinity Day School, our mission is to provide a safe, educational and socially enriching environment. Our focus is on the whole child. We will construct hands on classroom activities to assist the child in growing to his or her fullest potential. A variety of age appropriate activities will help develop self-confidence while meeting their personal and social, cognitive, physical and creative needs.
Three Year Old Curriculum:
As three year olds enter Trinity Day School, our goals are to create a secure, nurturing environment where children are accepted for their individuality and respected as curious learners. Throughout the school year, our students will be encouraged to become active members of the class. With understanding, facilitation and a clear knowledge of child development we will expose our students to a variety of age-appropriate activities while empowering them to make independent decisions and choices in their exploration.
Four Year Old Curriculum:
Our four year old curriculum is based on the premise of integrating themes which are relevant and interesting to the four year old’s world. Monthly curriculum webs are planned within the emotional, intellectual, social and physical realm of a preschooler’s development. Students will participate in both large group activities (circle time) such as movement and singing activities, and in small group activities which are play-based and instructional. Their environment will be designed to include a variety of interest areas and children will be encouraged to choose specific centers for exploration. We will encourage self-help skills. It is our hope that our children will grow as curious learners with confidence and positive self-esteem in their school setting. It is very possible that a different area of interest will be generated from the student population of a class. That topic of interest will be used as a springboard for covering all domains of development.
